She is an original cosponsor of H.R.8497, introduced April 27, 2026. The SEED Act would extend specified biodiesel and renewable-diesel tax incentives through 2029, with rules preventing a double benefit under the clean-fuel production credit. It remains a bill.
Limit: Mike Carey is the sponsor. A tax credit is not a guaranteed immediate $1 reduction in the retail pump price. The bill text calls this the Supporting Energy and Economic Development Act; the announcement uses a different expansion of SEED.
