What they say

In the October 13 debate, Hinson said she supported the Rural Health Transformation Fund in the 2025 tax law.

What the record shows

On July 3, 2025, she voted for the law providing $10 billion annually for rural health in fiscal years 2026–2030; Iowa reports a $209 million first-year award for fiscal 2026. On October 1, 2026, she joined Iowa’s delegation in asking CMS to give Iowa’s fiscal 2027 funding request full and fair consideration.

Limit: Her vote covered the whole law; the joint request was not a funding award. Statewide funding does not prove named-project results. The law’s Medicaid effects are not assessed.
