What the record shows ·
Rep. Garret Graves sponsored H.R. 82, the Social Security Fairness Act, which repeals the Social Security rules known as the government pension offset and the windfall elimination provision. Hinson became a cosponsor in February 2023 and on September 19, 2024 signed the petition to force it to the House floor, the day it reached the 218 signatures it needed. She voted yes when the House passed it 327-75 on November 12, 2024, and it became law on January 5, 2025.
Limit: Many members shared this work: she was the 209th signer of the petition, and the record does not show a lead role.
