Iran war: her votes to end it
What they say
In the October 6 and October 8 debates she said she has voted nine times to end the war in Iran, because under the War Powers Act a war should not go past 60 days without Congress's approval.
What the record shows ·
The Senate held 14 roll calls in 2026 on measures to remove U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran. She voted against the first five, from March 4 to April 22, and for all nine since, from April 30 to September 24. Two of the nine carried: a motion on May 19 to bring S.J.Res. 185 out of committee, 50 to 47, and H.Con.Res. 86 on June 23, 50 to 48. On June 27, 2025 she also voted against a similar measure, S.J.Res. 59.
Limit: Most of the nine were votes to bring a measure out of committee or onto the floor, not to pass it. She voted no on the five before them. When the 60 days she cites began is not settled here.
