What they say

In both debates, defending her 2018 vote for Brett Kavanaugh, she said she is the only Republican senator to have voted to confirm Justices Sotomayor, Kagan and Jackson, all named by Democratic presidents.

What the record shows · Apr 7, 2022

She voted Yea on all three: Sonia Sotomayor, confirmed 68 to 31 on August 6, 2009; Elena Kagan, 63 to 37 on August 5, 2010; and Ketanji Brown Jackson, 53 to 47 on April 7, 2022. No other Republican voted for all three. The others who backed Kagan were Lindsey Graham, who voted against Jackson, and Judd Gregg, Richard Lugar and Olympia Snowe, who had left the Senate by 2022.
