Senate Bill 35 was filed in November 2022 on behalf of the attorney general. It made 28 grams or more of illegally made fentanyl a trafficking crime; other drug trafficking starts at 100 grams. It became law on June 14, 2023. On April 18, 2024, his office won a unanimous Nevada Supreme Court ruling that upheld the state's 2021 ghost gun ban.
