In November 2023 he introduced H.R. 6466, the AI Labeling Act of 2023; it did not pass. He cosponsored H.R. 3106, the Preventing Deepfakes of Intimate Images Act, introduced by Rep. Joe Morelle in May 2023, and its 2025 version, H.R. 1941; neither has passed. In January 2024 he and Morelle held a press conference with Francesca Mani of Westfield and her mother, who were pushing both bills. He also cosponsored H.R. 633, the House version of the TAKE IT DOWN Act. The Senate's version, S. 146, passed the House 409 to 2 on April 28, 2025 with his Yea vote (Roll Call 104) and became Public Law 119-12.

Limit: The bills tied to the Westfield case, his own AI Labeling Act and Rep. Morelle's deepfake bill, which he cosponsored, have not become law.
