Stock trading: his own accounts
What they say
In the September 27 debate he said he has not traded an individual stock since becoming a member of Congress, that his trades are reported every three months, and that his holdings are in a blind structure in which he has no involvement and no input.

What the record shows ·
He filed 39 periodic transaction reports from February 11, 2023 to September 12, 2026, and each year's reports list purchases or sales of individual company stocks in accounts reported as his own, not his spouse's: a State Street Bank & Trust account and the Kean Family Partnership, in which he reports a 33 per cent interest. His first report lists a partial sale of Johnson & Johnson stock from the State Street account on January 27, 2023; his latest lists partial sales of Alphabet and Johnson & Johnson stock from the same account on August 27, 2026. From the report filed June 18, 2026 on, each says the transactions are initiated and made by third-party advisers with no input from him; the report before it, filed May 22, 2026, has no such line. His 2025 annual report answers No when asked whether it leaves out a qualified blind trust approved by the Ethics Committee, and his 2024 report says his counsel wrote to the committee about possibly using one.

Limit: The reports are his own sworn filings and give ranges, not exact amounts. They show trades in accounts he owns or partly owns; they do not show who chose each trade, and since June 2026 they say advisers make the trades without his input. Many of the trades are in the Kean Family Partnership, a family entity in which he holds a one-third interest; the reports do not say who manages it. Advisers trading without his input describes a managed account, which is different from the qualified blind trust his own annual report says he does not have. Nothing in the filings shows short sales or holdings in companies from Russia, China or Iran.
