   Troy D. Jackson: record does not settle this

   His campaign says he is not backed by corporate PACs or billionaire donors. His principal campaign committee, Troy Jackson for Maine, first filed with the Federal Election Commission on July 7, 2026. It has filed eleven statements of organization in all, the latest on September 8 naming seven committees it is affiliated with or raises money through jointly, and no report of receipts. Its first report, the October Quarterly covering the period through September 30, is due October 15, 2026. Other committees' own reports already list contributions to it: from July 13 to August 28, the political action committees of 15 labor organizations, among them AFSCME, the Steelworkers and the Machinists, and the PACs of the American Association for Justice and J Street. In the FEC's processed data read on September 25, none of the committees giving to him is classified as a corporation's or a trade association's PAC. Limit: This card is waiting for his committee's own filing, not judging the claim. When the October Quarterly arrives, lines 11C and 12 will show committee money, including anything passed on by joint fundraising committees. Other committees' reports also list $124,911.25 that a PAC called Maximum Impac transferred to him as nominee funds; who gave that money to it was not read. His campaign's statement that he raised $2 million from more than 30,000 new donors after the nomination can be checked against the same report.
