   Her campaign says members of Congress should be banned from trading individual stocks. She is an original cosponsor of the No Corruption in Government Act (H.R. 358), introduced January 13, 2025 by Representative Zach Nunn; its section 102 would bar members of Congress and their spouses from holding, buying or selling securities and commodities while in office, with exceptions for diversified funds, Treasury securities and blind trusts. She was also an original cosponsor of the TRUST in Congress Act, which would require members and their families to put covered investments in a blind trust, in both Congresses (H.R. 345, January 12, 2023; H.R. 396, January 14, 2025), and later joined the Prohibit Insider Trading Act (H.R. 1138, 118th Congress) and the Restore Trust in Congress Act (H.R. 5106, 119th Congress). None of those five has had a floor vote. On July 22, 2026 she voted for Rep. Bryan Steil's Stop Insider Trading Act (H.R. 7008), which passed the House 232 to 198 (Roll Call 280). She was one of 13 Democrats who voted yes. Just before, she voted for Rep. Seth Magaziner's motion to send it back to committee, which failed 211 to 218 (Roll Call 279). The bill bars members, spouses and dependent children from buying stocks and requires public notice 7 to 14 days before a sale. It does not make them sell what they hold. As passed, it also requires photo ID to vote. It is on the Senate calendar. Limit: Cosponsorship is support, not passage. The five bills are every stock-trading bill on her cosponsored list on Congress.gov, searched by title on September 23, 2026; she joined two after they were introduced. The House Clerk's roll-call lists for 2023 to 2026, searched by title on September 24, 2026, show no other vote on members' stock trading.

   Under the heading "Ending the influence of Corporate Money", her campaign says it does not take money from special interests, and gives drug companies as its example. Through July 15, 2026 her committee reported $861,810.91 this cycle from political committees other than parties (line 11C). None is the committee of a drug manufacturer. One is recorded by the FEC as a corporation's PAC: Edward Jones PAC, $2,500 in December 2025. One is from the drug trade: the National Community Pharmacists Assoc PAC, the committee of an association of independent pharmacies, gave $1,000 in June 2025 and $2,500 in June 2026. Seventy-seven of the committees that gave, together $305,500.01, are ones the FEC designates as lobbyist or registrant PACs, among them medical, dental, insurance and auto-care trade groups. Most of her committee money, $2,798,314.63, arrived as transfers from joint fundraising committees, chiefly her own MGP Victory Fund. Limit: Committee money only. Donations from individuals, including those made through ActBlue, are not special-interest money on any reading and are not counted. The lobbyist or registrant designation is the FEC's classification of a committee connected to a registered lobbyist, not this desk's. Joint fundraising committees pass on money they raised themselves; their memo entries on her reports were read for drug-industry names and found none among committees, but their own full filings were not read.
