What the record shows ·
On October 4, 2024 she introduced the Lowering Energy Costs for Manufactured Homeowners Act (H.R. 9935). It would give a refundable tax credit of 20 percent of the cost of adding weather-resistant skirting to a manufactured home, up to $500. It was sent to the Ways and Means Committee and went no further. In July 2025 the House Appropriations Committee's report on the 2026 energy and water bill encouraged the Energy Department to favor skirting and awnings in its weatherization grants. Her office called that her provision in February 2026.

Limit: Her record shows one skirting bill, and it never left committee. The report language asks the Energy Department to favor skirting in its grants; it is not a tax rebate.
