Her campaign site carries no issues page. Her official economy page blames inflation and household costs on the previous administration's spending and energy policy, and lists her work to end restrictions on energy production, protect hydraulic fracturing and lift limits on liquefied natural gas exports. The page's examples run to 2024 and it names no measure from this Congress.
Her campaign says lowering costs is her first priority: exercising Congress's power to end the tariffs, barring hedge funds and private investors from buying Iowa homes and land, building and rehabilitating housing, letting Medicare negotiate more drug prices and capping insulin at $35 for everyone, cracking down on utility monopolies and on corporate price gouging on groceries and farm inputs.
His campaign says reckless spending under both parties fuelled inflation and that inconsistent tariffs leave families and farmers unable to plan; he would seek stable long-term trade policy, a legal target holding the deficit to 3 percent of GDP or less, and strict pay-as-you-go rules requiring new spending to be offset.
