His campaign says he pushed for strong support for renewable fuels, and he says they delivered year-round, nationwide E15. He was an original cosponsor of H.R. 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2025, on February 13, 2025, and voted Yea on its passage on May 13, 2026 (218 to 203); the bill was received in the Senate and referred to committee the next day. He sponsored the Year-Round E15 Act of 2024 (H.R. 8052), which was referred to subcommittee and went no further, and four Renewable Fuels Month resolutions between 2023 and 2026, one of which the House considered passed as amended under a rule on January 22, 2026. H.R. 7567, the Farm, Food, and National Security Act, passed the House 224 to 200 on April 30, 2026 with his Yea vote, after nine recorded amendment votes the same day and a failed motion to recommit. He sponsored sixteen bills in Congress.gov's Agriculture and Food policy area across the two Congresses and five more on rural housing, rural credit and rural broadband, including the Next Generation of Farmers Act, the Agricultural Biorefinery Innovation and Opportunity Act and the Protecting Farmers from Natural Disasters Act; each was referred to committee or subcommittee without further action. Limit: The recorded vote moved in the direction his platform calls for. The committee's report names one amendment of his, #138, adopted by a voice vote in markup. The count of 21 priorities is not checkable against the official record: neither the bill text nor the report enumerates a member's priorities, so the number is his own account of the bill.
