He was an original cosponsor of H.R. 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2025, on February 13, 2025, and voted Yea on its passage on May 13, 2026 (218 to 203); the bill was received in the Senate and referred to committee the next day. He sponsored the Year-Round E15 Act of 2024 (H.R. 8052), which was referred to subcommittee and went no further, and four Renewable Fuels Month resolutions between 2023 and 2026, one of which the House considered passed as amended under a rule on January 22, 2026.
