What they say

Her campaign says she founded and grew a successful cyber and defense business after the Army.

“After her military service, Laurie founded and grew a successful cyber and defense business, creating jobs and hiring primarily veterans while supporting America's national security.”

What the record shows

Castellum, Inc.'s SEC filings say she founded Corvus Consulting Group in February 2012 and was its CEO until Castellum bought it on November 21, 2019. Corvus works in cyberspace operations, electronic warfare and intelligence for defense clients. Castellum bought it from her trust for $9.6 million in total. The same filing says she worked for two defense firms after the Army and before founding Corvus.

Limit: The filings confirm she founded the business and sold it. They do not show how many people it hired or how many were veterans.
