What they say

His campaign says he is fighting to lower prescription drug prices.

“Don Davis is fighting to lower prescription drug prices, make housing more affordable, and protect working families from price increases that hit their wallets the hardest.”

What the record shows

In February 2025 he introduced the Reducing Drug Prices for Seniors Act with Republican August Pfluger. It would base what Medicare Part D patients pay toward a drug on its actual cost, not its list price, and has not moved past committee. In December 2025 he cosponsored Republican Buddy Carter's PBM Reform Act, which sets rules for the middlemen who run drug benefits. Most of its text became law in February 2026 inside the 2026 spending law, which he voted for.

Limit: His own drug-price bill shows intent, not a result. The PBM rules target middlemen's fees and practices; the law's text does not show what they will do to prices. He joined the PBM bill five months after it was introduced.
