Her campaign says Iowa has lost 30,000 family farms to consolidation, that tariffs and trade wars threaten farms more than in many years, and that input costs on seed and fertiliser reflect monopoly practices; she would direct farm policy to independent family operations and pursue the companies squeezing them.

His campaign says he grew up on a seventh-generation family farm and would fight for a family-farm-first farm bill safeguarding crop insurance and raising loan limits for beginning farmers, enforce antitrust law against seed, fertiliser and meatpacking concentration, permanently authorize year-round nationwide E15, and ban farmland purchases by foreign adversaries.

    Michael Bridgford: Not comparable yet

    His campaign says he would back legislation permanently allowing year-round nationwide sale of E15 instead of annual emergency waivers. He holds no office and has cast no vote, so there is no action of his to compare. The bill his sentence describes exists and moved during this Congress: H.R. 1346, the Nationwide Consumer and Fuel Retailer Choice Act of 2025, passed the House 218 to 203 on May 13, 2026 (Roll Call 164) and went to the Senate. He was not a member and had no vote on it. Limit: The card shows the bill the statement describes and its recorded vote so a reader can see what the position refers to, but he took no part in it and this desk claims no comparison. Whether he would have voted Yea is not something any record can answer.
