The SERVICE Act became law. She sponsored the House bill, H.R. 4571, the SERVICE Act of 2021, introduced July 20, 2021 with nineteen cosponsors; its last recorded action is referral to the Subcommittee on Health on September 8, 2021, so her own bill never reached the floor. The act that was enacted is the Senate companion, S. 2102, the Dr. Kate Hendricks Thomas SERVICE Act, sponsored by Senator Boozman: the House passed it 418 to 0 under suspension on May 18, 2022 (Roll Call 228) and it became Public Law 117-133 on June 7, 2022. Its enacted text carries the mammography screening directive her page describes. This desk also read the whole enacted text of the PACT Act, Public Law 117-168, because that act is the usual home for toxic-exposure provisions, and found no mammography or breast-cancer provision in it.

Limit: The subject became law and she sponsored the House bill on it, so "championed" holds and so does "passed the House and was signed into law" about the SERVICE Act. The bill that passed and was signed was the Senate's, not hers; hers stopped at a subcommittee. The check read the enacted text of both public laws named here and the action history of her own bill. Whether the screening the act directs has reached Iowa veterans is a question about administration, which this card does not assess.
