Defense: votes on aid to Ukraine
What they say
In the October 20 KCRG-TV9 debate, Miller-Meeks said the U.S. should side with Ukraine and that she voted to fund and help Ukraine as it bought weapons from the United States.
What the record shows ·
She voted Yea on the Additional Ukraine Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2022, H.R. 7691, which passed the House 368 to 57 on May 10, 2022 (Roll Call 145) and became Public Law 117-128. She voted Yea on the Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024, H.R. 8035, which passed the House 311 to 112 on April 20, 2024 (Roll Call 151), with 101 Republicans for it and 112 against. That text became law as Division B of H.R. 815, Public Law 118-50, which funds the Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative.
Limit: Both Yea votes are on the Clerk's record, and the text of both is law, the 2024 one as part of H.R. 815. In 2024 more House Republicans voted against the Ukraine bill than for it, and she was among those for it. This card does not check her other Ukraine votes, such as amendments or the wider spending bills, or her claims about how the aid was run.
