What the record shows ·
He cosponsored H.R. 7008, the Stop Insider Trading Act, on the day it was introduced, January 12, 2026, as one of ninety-three cosponsors and an original cosponsor, and voted Yea when it passed the House 232 to 198 on July 22, 2026 (Roll Call 280); it is on the Senate calendar and is not law. His own two bills on the subject went no further than committee: the Prohibit Insider Trading Act (H.R. 1138), introduced on February 21, 2023, in his second month in office, and the No Corruption in Government Act (H.R. 358), introduced on January 13, 2025.

Limit: A ban did pass the House with his vote and cosponsorship, so "we delivered in the House" holds; "led the charge from day one" is his characterization of a bill he cosponsored rather than sponsored, and his own two bills never left committee. The bill is not law. What the ban covers is a question about the bill's text, which this card does not assess.
