What the record shows · Jun 9, 2026

He was an original cosponsor of H.R. 5408, the Faster Labor Contracts Act, introduced September 16, 2025. It sets deadlines for an employer and a new union to start bargaining, then mediation and binding arbitration if they cannot agree on a first contract. On June 9, 2026 he voted for the motion that forced it to the floor and for the bill itself; it passed 230-193 and went to the Senate.

Limit: The Senate has not passed it, so it is not law.
