Veterans: Sierra Vista counseling advocacy
What they say
In the September 10 Clean Elections debate, Ciscomani said he got involved after rumors of closure and helped keep the Sierra Vista Vet Center open.
What the record shows ·
Ciscomani’s signed July 20, 2023 letter asked VA about veterans’ counseling in Sierra Vista. It described the Community Access Point at the Warrior Healing Center as closed and a transition to a Vet Center Outstation as already approved, then requested answers about the closure, access and opening timetable. VA’s December 1, 2023 announcement placed the new outstation in the leasing phase. Its current status page says the Sierra Vista outstation provides services in person and virtually Monday through Friday and records a community dedication on October 2, 2025.
Limit: The letter documents advocacy, and VA confirms a current outstation. These sources do not establish uninterrupted operation of the earlier access point or that his intervention caused VA’s approval or opening. The current page gives a dedication date, not the date services first began. The signed letter already describes replacement approval, so it does not show that his later request caused that earlier approval. The broader keep-open outcome remains unresolved; no adverse finding is made.
